- Palm leaf engraving on a palm leaf box.
- Also known as?Talapatra Chitra?or Chitrapothi is an ancient form of folk art that originated in the Indian State of Odisha. Raghurajpur a small village in Puri is identified place for this type of Craft. These are made from dried palm leaves, and a sharp-pointed iron tool is used to etch the drawing on the brittle surface of the leaf making sure that it doesn't go wrong or the leaf doesn't break, then the colour is spread?or rubbed all over the leaves with the help of a piece of cotton. But do all these artisans get identified?there are many lost faces behind this famous art.
